Project Description :
We study genotype-environment interactions and their contribution to plant adaptation. We are interested in how plants sense and respond to environmental conditions in ways that influence their fitness and their ability to adapt to variable climatic environments. We study the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms whereby environments alter plant phenotypes. We are currently focusing on seed germination and flowering. You can expect to acquire field experience and participate in classical, molecular, and quantitative genetic experiments on the model genetic system of Arabidopsis thaliana.
